Death by glitter
I've just started my second year at LJMU as a Fashion Communication student and our first project was a live brief for 'SEEN' magazine. The class was split into three groups and we were told to create a garment from back copies of their magazines in just 48 hours. People from 'SEEN' were then going to come in and judge a catwalk show we set up for them, to choose their favourite dress of the three to be shown at the 'Death by glitter Vogue ball.' The fact it was a live project and that we only had 48 hours to make it was such an exciting and motivating start to the year. Our dress was chose to go down the catwalk at the Vogue ball which was amazing.

Teaming up for charity
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have collaborated through their label 'The Row' with TOMS shoes for a great cause and have produced a limited collection of the ultra comfy flats.
For each pair of their stylish cashmere flats sold, a pair of shoes is given to a child in need.

End of summer
Had an amazing four days at Leeds Festival last weekend and missing it so much now!..kind of feel like it was the end to summer which is quite sad. This is a song from one of the bands I saw there called Two door cinema club and their song Undercover Martyn which I couldn't get out of my head all weekend.

Charity couture
These are some photographs from a shoot of mine that i did for one of my first year briefs, titled 'Charity Courture.' The basic idea of the project was to research couture and then search through charity shops to find something we could turn into Couture. We then had to photograph our garments in a location we felt appropriate..
